We have launched our exciting and ambitious Community Build Project!

Playing and participating in hands-on activities have repeatedly proved to be one of the best ways to learn new concepts, for kids and adults. Hands-on experiments make science discoveries fun and engaging.

Our Community Build Project is aimed at creating and installing more than 30 interactive exhibits as part of our permanent Science Arcade exhibition. The scientific experiments will explore:

  • Sound and music,
  • Light and color,
  • Power and energy,
  • Forces and motion,
  • Mathematics,
  • Illusion and perception.

With YOUR help we can continue growing our museum and bring an interactive STEM experience to Central Texas.

Want to help? We are looking for more:

  • Build teams
    • Project managers,
    • Mechanical engineers,
    • Electrical engineers,
    • Computer programmers,
    • Machinists,
    • Carpenters
    • People willing to lend a hand!
  • Donors and sponsors!
    • Individuals
    • Companies
    • Organizations
    • Foundations

Build teams will work with the curatorial team to design and construct these exiting exhibits which will, in the future, move with TXMOST to their permanent building. Donors and sponsors will help pay for supplies and construction of the Science Arcade galleries. Your hard work and donations will be recognized on the exhibits and in the galleries. Together we can make this special STEM experience a reality!

With your help, we will be able to open Science Arcade to the public by early 2018!

This project serves to benefit our patrons who are the families of Williamson, Travis, and surrounding counties. Our goal is to create to space in which families have an opportunity to engage with  science in memorable ways. We exist to foster a lifelong love of STEM. The thrill of STEM exploration today will provide a pathway to STEM careers, but also a deeper understanding and appreciation of science and technology into the future.
