Science Saturday: Sun Science

On Saturday, August 19th from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, help us celebrate summer and the upcoming solar eclipse at our next Science Saturday! We will have fun activities and demonstrations that explore heat, solar energy, color, and ways in which we use our sun’s energy. We will also have an eclipse station where you can learn about what causes an eclipse and the best ways to view the one occurring on August 21st. FREE with membership or admission.

Unfortunately, we have sold out of the solar eclipse glasses & viewers and will not have additional glasses to give away during our event on Monday. We apologize for the inconvenience as we anticipated having a large quantity of glasses. One of our shipments was not ISO certified, therefore it left us with a shortage. Please make sure to bring your solar glasses or viewers with you on your trip to the museum for the Solar Eclipse event. We appreciate your understanding in this unfavorable situation.
